When I think about my ideal family vacation, you can bet crowded beaches, a muddy ocean and fast food are nowhere on my list. But that’s often what many families are relegated to given some of the stateside options; you end up needing a vacation to recover from your vacation.
So when my husband and I were invited to visit Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo with several other bloggers, I was beyond excited. When every single person I spoke to couldn’t stop gushing about their own Costa Rica vacation, I knew I was in for a treat. But add in the reputation of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, and I knew it would be a trip of a lifetime.
Of course, a couple’s trip can be quite different from one with the entire family. But given my experience at Four Seasons Costa Rica with my husband, I can wholeheartedly say that I can’t wait to bring my family back. Read my review on Cool Mom Picks to see why.
This summer (May 28 to Sept. 3), the resort is offering a special Camp Papagayo for kids. On the fun roster: learning Spanish, touring volcanoes and national parks, spotting monkeys and exotic birds, volunteering, surfing and ziplining through the tropical forest. All that, while mom and dad take on a complimentary cooking class featuring local cuisine, try a bamboo massage, or play tennis (five courts, including a brand new grass one) or golf on the award-winning golf course, a Certified Audubon Sanctuary.

Hmm it seems like your blog ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any tips and hints for first-time blog writers? I’d really appreciate it.
Cost Rica is a great place for vacation. I traveled there a few years ago and I had a great adventure trekking through the rainforest and exploring tropical wildlife. I also enjoyed a nice Palms Costa Rica beachfront setting at Playa Flamingo.
[...] FS Family: We understand you have launched a new summer camp? LS: Yes, this is our first year for Camp Papagayo. It’s Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, and functions like day camp in the U.S. Kids earn beads and prizes via activities. It’s a nice mixture of local things—exploring wildlife, monkeys, parakeets—with sports and activities: adventure races, swimming, paddle board, hermit crab races… We explore archaeology as well and do an herb garden cooking class. We think this is a resort first and we’re very excited. (Read more about Camp Papagayo.) [...]
